All families experience ups and downs, good times and bad times, successes and setbacks. That’s life in this fallen world impacted by sin. However, we can be encouraged with these words: “The family of the godly stands firm” (Proverbs 12:7).
Never, never give up! “Serve only the LORD your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him” (Deut. 13:4). Serve him, fear him, obey him, listen to him and cling to him. He will carry us through and give us strength to stand firm.
Lord, thank you that even when I feel completely out of control in my life, you are there with me in the middle of my perceived chaos. I choose today to serve, fear and obey you. I commit to listening to you and clinging to you. For in you, I live and move and have my being. Amen.
